EVENTS & PROGRAMS

Trans Affirm, Inc offers a plethora of events to help our community. Famous for our Idaho's first "Trans-Affirming Resource fair," Trans Affirm hosts pop-up events throughout the year to bring essential resources, education, and community support directly to those who need them. These events cover a wide range of topics, from gender-affirming care and legal navigation to allyship training and harm reduction. Whether it's a hands-on "How-To" workshop based on trans topics such as name changes, how-to makeup, ect, a networking space for trans folks and allies, or a resource distribution event, our goal is to make vital information and support more accessible across Idaho.

A digital poster advocating for safe bathrooms for trans people, featuring a drawing of a toilet and a hand pointing to it. The poster emphasizes that bathrooms are listed on transaffirm.org, with a QR code for more information. It highlights the importance of support for safe and inclusive bathroom environments in Idaho, and features logos and stickers supporting LGBTQ+ rights.

Trans Affirm is building a Safe Bathroom List to add to our website resources in response to the new Idaho legislation that criminalizes trans people for using restrooms that align with their identity. While it isn't active until July, we want to start the process now.

This law increases risk, not safety. It opens the door to harassment, policing of bodies, and real legal consequences for simply existing in public space. Because of that, we are working to create a community-informed tool to help trans folks navigate where they can go with more awareness.

We need your help to make this as accurate and useful as possible!!

If you are in the community, please report:

• Bathrooms you have personally experienced as safe or affirming

• Locations where you had negative or unsafe experiences

All submissions will remain anonymous. The goal is to share patterns for safety, not personal information. Allies can contribute as well, but please be thoughtful and specific. A space that feels safe to you may not be safe for a trans person. Good-faith, detailed reporting matters!

Please share this so we can cover as much ground as possible and better protect our community.

We can use help to assist in this! If you would like to support or assist with this project, email info@transaffirm.org

Let us know if you enjoyed the event and where we can improve! We are grateful for your continued participation and feedback.
