Did you know? $10 can cover the cost of shipping transition wear to someone in need, $35 can provide a brand-new gaff for one trans/gnc person ( tucking underwear), $45 can supply a high-quality chest binder to one trans/gnc person who cannot afford one.
What is the Trans Affirm Fund?
This fund supports our general programs, events, and services. Donations here give us flexibility to cover whatever our community needs most—from running events and support groups to providing transition wear and resources.
What is the HRT Access Fund?
This fund is dedicated to helping trans and gender-diverse people access hormone replacement therapy (HRT), especially for those who are low-income or lost coverage due to Medicaid cuts. Through our new grant program, we award funding directly to those in need. The number and length of grants depend on how much funding we receive. Larger donations may even have an entire grant cycle named in your honor, if you choose.

We rely on community support to continue our mission of empowering trans folx with affirming resources. With your help, we can expand our reach beyond Southern Idaho, organizing resource fairs in other parts of the state to ensure no trans person is left without the support they deserve

VOLUNTEER
We are always looking for volunteers for our annual Trans Affirming Resource Fair, pop up events throughout the year, and skill sets that can support our volunteer board members (ie: this website was made by a volunteer!).
Be Part of the Team Making It Happen
Trans Affirm’s work happens because people across our community choose to bring their time, skills, experience, and ideas to the table. From building programs and organizing events to strengthening our organization behind the scenes, there are many ways to help make resources for trans and gender diverse Idahoans possible.
Opportunities to join our team generally fall into two areas: our Board of Directors and our Subcommittees.
Board of Directors
Board members help govern Trans Affirm and guide the long-term health of the organization. The Board focuses on oversight, organizational policy, financial responsibility, strategic direction, and ensuring Trans Affirm continues to fulfill its mission.
Board service comes with a higher level of responsibility and commitment. Members are expected to regularly participate in meetings, complete work associated with their role, communicate professionally, and commit to serving their term.
Subcommittees
Subcommittees are a more flexible and hands-on way to get involved with Trans Affirm’s programs and projects. Members may help with events, resources, fundraising, grant programs, digital media, community outreach, and other areas based on their interests and experience.
Subcommittee members do not serve on the Board of Directors and generally have fewer governance and meeting responsibilities. This can be a great fit for someone who wants to contribute their skills and be part of the work without taking on full Board responsibilities.
